Obituary

Yvette M. (Guay) Buffone 89, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Sunday January 15, 2023 at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Buffone, Sr., who died in 2007.

Born June 13, 1933, in Taunton, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Laureat & Alice (Lemieux) Guay, she was a longtime resident of Franklin and a summer resident of West Dennis.

She was raised and educated in Taunton, and until her retirement, worked for the Town of Wrentham in the assessor's office.

Yvette enjoyed playing cards, reading, days at the beach and tending to her houseplants.

She is survived by her children, Robert J. Buffone, Jr. and his wife Mary of Wrentham and Julie M. Johnson of Whitinsville.

Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Buffone, Andrew Johnson, Jamie Buffone, Kristen Johnson, Robert Pisano III & Christina Pisano.

She was the mother of the late Jill M. Pisano and sister of the late Donald, Francis, Norbert, Gerald and Maurice Guay, Antonia Menard & Lucille Guay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday January 20th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square Franklin at 10AM.

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7PM.
