Obituary

William C. Fielding Jr. 77, a resident of the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin for nearly 24 years, died there Tuesday January 8, 2008 following an illness.
Born in Taunton, August 16, 1930 a son of the late William C. and Rose A. (Emond) Fielding, he was raised in Taunton and Wrentham, and is believed to be the longest resident at the local facility.
Disabled since birth, he still lived a full and active life. He enjoyed many of the activities at the Franklin Skilled Nursing Center and was always a familiar face to all who visited there.
He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed speaking French to all the nurses at his home.
He is survived by a sister, Joanne Fielding Howard of Plainville, a niece, 2 nephews and 2 aunts.
He was also the brother of the late James Patrick Fielding.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday January 15, 2008 at the family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
There are no public calling hours.
