Obituary

Wayne P. Nicholson, 73, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after an illness. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn M. (Donahue) Nicholson, with whom he shared 29 wonderful years of marriage.

Wayne was predeceased by his two brothers Ramond Dangelo and Gary Nicholson; as well as his stepson Joseph Sarris III. He leaves behind his two children: Shawn Nicholson and his wife Michelle, along with their child; Amanda Nicholson and her significant other Albert, along with their two children. He is also survived by his two sisters: June Bussey, her husband Paul, along with their seven children; and Penny (Pearl) Jacquin and her three children.

Wayne dedicated much of his career to serving others, spending 15 years at General Motors before working as a rural carrier for the United States Post Office for over 10 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Saturday, March 15, at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin. Burial in the parish cemetery will take place at a later date.
