Obituary

Wallace E. Wood 86, of Franklin, died Thursday November 28, 2006 at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Milford, following a long illness.
Born in Boston, September 7, 1920 a son of the late William H. and Ida L. (Chase) Wood, he was a longtime Franklin resident.
He was raised and educated in Boston, and until his retirement many years ago, worked for the former Amara Bros. Co., in Boston, as a sanitation worker.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union in Boston, and his hobbies and interests included gardening, horses, and blueberry picking.
He is survived by 2 brothers James B. Wood of Franklin, with whom he lived, and Frank Wood of South Yarmouth, Ma. Also surviving are several generations of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at the Wood family lot in Sandwich on Monday December 4, 2006 at 11AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
There are no public calling hours.
