Obituary

Mrs. Theresa T. (Simone) Bellantoni, 97, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Harborside Healthcare Center in Mashpee, following a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Bellantoni who died in 1986.

Born in Boston, August 23, 1910, a daughter of the late Peter and Tommasa (Livoti) Simone, she lived most of her life in Newton Center, and then in Southborough before moving to Mashpee several years ago.

Mrs. Bellantoni was a retired homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family, and cooking and baking. She was also a longtime former communicant of Immaculate Mary of Lourdes Church in Newton.

She is survived by 2 sons: Natale "Ned" Bellantoni and his wife Linda of Southborough, Peter C. Bellantoni of Mashpee, 1 sister: Antoinette Tornabene of Walpole, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and her longtime caregiver and former daughter-in-law Faith Harvey.

She was also the sister of the late Joseph, Thomas and Anthony Simone.

A private family funeral service will be held on Monday in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham. There are no public calling hours.
