Steven P. Lincourt, 61, of Franklin, MA, passed away on May 10, 2026, after a long illness, surrounded by his family.
Born in Framingham, Steven was the son of Paul (Link) and Dorothy Lincourt. He grew up in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in 1983.
Steven was the owner of Barry John Chimney Services for nearly 45 years. He started the business at 18, working out of a Toyota Corolla, and grew it into a respected full-service company employing as many as 15 people. He took great pride in his work and the reputation he built through honesty, hard work, and dedication.
Family was at the center of Steven’s life. He married his childhood sweetheart, Ellen Davison, in 1987, and together they built a home rooted in love and loyalty. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Amanda Heno, and a proud grandfather to Harper and Hunter.
Steven loved the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and hiking often alongside family and friends. Some of his favorite times were spent fishing and hunting with his father, Link. He also treasured time at his properties in New Hampshire, Cape Cod, New York, and Massachusetts, and he loved sharing his favorite activities with others.
Steven will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, and steady willingness to help. Quick-witted and warm, he could make people laugh and feel at home wherever he went.
Steven is survived by his wife, Ellen Lincourt; his daughter, Amanda Heno, and her husband, Brian; his grandchildren, Harper and Hunter Heno; and his sister, Deborah Lincourt, her life partner, Ken Murray, and Steven’s nephew, James Walker, Jr. He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Lincourt.
A wake will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Oteri Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, MA 02038.
