Obituary

Stephen P. Pellegri, 74 of Norfolk, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday June 3, 2025. He was the son of Edward and Flora (Gazzola) Pellegri.

Steve was raised and educated in Franklin and worked for many years in the catering business and also in transportation for the Fall River News.

He was an avid sports fan rooting for all the Boston teams. Steve had a big heart and was a lover of nature and animals, especially dogs and horses. Known to be a good cook with a specialty in Italian dishes.

Steve is survived by three lovely daughters, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and he was predeceased by a grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward Pellegri of Waterford CT, Joseph Pellegri and his wife Kim of Franklin, and a sister Lisa Velluti and her husband David of Franklin. He was also the brother of the late Peter Pellegri. Steve is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday June 13, 2025 for family and close relatives. Visitation 10:00am – 11:00am at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street, immediately followed by a burial service at St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made in his name to the Franklin Food Pantry at 341 W. Central Street, Franklin MA 02038.
