Obituary

Mrs. Rose R. (Zampell) Pastorello 96, of Franklin, died Friday January 2, 2009 at Milford Regional Medical Center, where she had been a patient for one week. She was the wife of the late Dr. Ernest J. Pastorello, a well known Franklin physician, who died in 1995.
Born in Medford, June 1, 1912 a daughter of the late James and Rose (Mazzallone) Zampell, she was educated in Boston schools, and had lived in Franklin for most of her life.
Mrs. Pastorello was a registed pharmacist and in later years assisted her husband with his office.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed spending time with family, and playing bridge.
She is survived by a daughter Nancy R. Azza of Franklin, and two granddaughters Amy Azza and Andrea Azza, and a great granddaughter Emily Rose Gaudet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period on Tuesday January 6, 2009 from 11AM-12 o'clock noon at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com).
A private graveside committal service will be held at the Pastroello family mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery at 12:30PM.
A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at a later date.
