Obituary

Robert F. Sullivan 89, of Franklin passed away on Thursday June 16, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie F. (McCafferty) Sullivan, who passed in April. He was also predeceased by his brother Alfred "Buddy" Sullivan.

Robert was born to Florence and Alfred T. Sullivan on August 8, 1932 in Boston, MA. Robert was educated in the Boston School System where he met his wife, Marie. They married on August 23, 1952 and welcomed 6 children in the coming years.

Marie and Bob were 56 year residents of Franklin, MA. He retired from the Veteran's Hospital in West Roxbury, MA after many years of service during which he maintained his Fireman 2nd Class License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

His favorite pastimes were antiquing, reading, and spending time with his family on Cape Cod. Bob and Marie were avid travelers, Ireland being a favorite destination.

He is survived by his sister Patricia LeClair and daughters Anne Pizzi and husband William Pizzi, Mary McCarthy and husband Paul McCarthy, Patricia Bourett and husband Robert Bourett, Karen Mott and husband Michael Mott, and two sons, Robert T. Sullivan and John J. Sullivan.

He was a devoted grandfather and great grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Church in Franklin on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
