Obituary

Robert R. Kaufman 67 of 37 Great Hill Dr…. and a former resident of Bellingham and Franklin, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, following a brief illness.

Born in Franklin, April 1, 1939, a son of the late John and Nellie (Morse) Kaufman, he lived in Wareham since 2005. He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School.

For more than 29 years until his retirement, he worked as a technician for the Northrup-Grumman Co. in Norwood. He also owned and operated his own appliance repair business Kaufman Appliance Repair Service of Franklin for more than 30 years.

He is survived by 1 son: Robert S. Kaufman of Milford, 2 daughters: Dori-Jane Squiciari of Millville, and Traci Saltalamacchia of Bellingham, a brother John Kaufman of North Carolina, 2 sisters: Shirley Petit of Franklin, Irene Barchus of Punta Gorda, Florida and the late Dorothy D'Amelio. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Wednesday at 11AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneralcom , Interment will follow in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
