Robert Warren Coggeshall

Robert Warren Coggeshall, 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Bellingham, Massachusetts, on July 24, 2026.

Born on March 11, 1959, in Randolph, Massachusetts, Robert was the son of the late Edward K. Coggeshall and Marie C. Coggeshall.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Carolyn Kennes Coggeshall. Throughout their marriage, they shared a lifetime of adventure and laughter while building treasured memories. His cats, Goose and Maverick, provided him with immense comfort and joy as part of their loving home.

He is also survived by his siblings, Marie Bren, Edward Coggeshall, Joseph Coggeshall (Joellen), and Joan Hall. He will be greatly missed by his parents-in-law, Francis and Mary Kennes, and his siblings-in-law, John Kennes (Joel), Kathleen Grueter (Greg), Chrissy Candlen (T.J.), and Joseph Kennes (Janice). He was predeceased by his brother John Coggeshall and his brother-in-law, David Bren (Marie).

A devoted uncle, Robert (Ribbet) leaves behind his nephews, Michael Bren, John Bren, Peter Coggeshall, Brian Coggeshall, Sean Coggeshall, Joseph Santucci, Billy Grueter, Timmy Grueter, Eric Candlen, Patrick Kennes, and Brian Kennes, as well as his nieces, Christine Bren, Jessica Hall, Kathryn LaChance, Jackie Oliveira, Molly Coggeshall, Jessica Grueter, Jill Candlen, Kerry Candlen, and Ashley Kennes.

Whether it be the campfire, the Red Sox, or his love of spending time with his family and friends, Bob always wanted those close to him to feel the warmth that radiated from his heart. Robert spent 17 years as a bakery manager with Stop and Shop, following his career selling cars. His unquestionable work ethic was only outshone by his jovial nature and attention to detail with his customers and co-workers. Be it the Sox, Bruins, NASCAR, or the PGA Tour, Bob was always watching and making sure everyone knew he’d happily be the coach or crew chief.

Thank you for always reminding us how many shopping days were left until Christmas, bringing everyone together when you hosted Easter, and always welcoming everyone into your world.

Until we catch our next Sox game with you, don’t worry, we’ll keep the light on and the bar open for you.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Thursday July 30th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral home 33 Cottage St. from 4-7PM.

His funeral service will take place Friday July 31st,  at St. Joseph Cemetery 990 Lagrange St. West Roxbury, at 11AM. Please meet at the cemetery gate.
