Obituary

Philip M. Kearns 85, of Franklin, died unexpectedly, Saturday November 24, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born March 26, 1933 in Arlington, a son of the late Martin J. and Gladys M. (Tolman) Kearns, he was a former longtime resident of Arlington before moving to Franklin 3 years ago.

He was raised and educated in Arlington, and was a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1956. Philip worked for the Town of Lexington Department of Public Works in the cemetery division.

Philip was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed golf, football and baseball.

He is survived by a sister, Phyllis A. Mahoney of Franklin and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Richard and Paul Kearns.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Wednesday Nov. 28th at 10AM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St.

Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington.

A calling hour will be held from 9-10AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
