Obituary

Philip S. Ferraro 78, of Franklin, died Wednesday August 22, 2007, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Marie E. (Grisafi) Ferraro, who died in 2003.
Born in Brooklyn, New York March 30, 1929 a son of the late Felice and Rose (Romanagno) Ferraro, he formerly lived in Elmont, New York before moving to Franklin 2 years ago.
He was raised and educated in New York, and was a retired self employed excavating contractor.
He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He attained the rank of corporal and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the United Nations Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in October 1952.
He is survived by 3 sons Plilip F. Ferraro of Commack, New York, Gerald S. Ferraro of Farmington, Connecticut and Neil P. Ferraro of Franklin, a daughter Rosemarie D. DeFalco of Toronto, Canada, a sister Florence DiGennaro of Franklin Square, New York and 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Thomas, Jessica, Jennifer, Stephen, Sarah, Andrew, Carolyn, Ariana, Neil and Lucas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Saturday August 25, 2007 at 1:00PM in St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield, Connecticut. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield, Connecticut.
Calling hours at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin (www.franklinfuneral.com) are Friday August 24th, 2007 from 4-8PM.
