Paul Conrad Mucciarone, 59, passed peacefully at his home in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on June 6, 2026, after a brief but intense battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Born and raised in Franklin, Massachusetts, on February 14, 1967, Paul was the beloved son of the late Judith (Holmes) and Conrad Mucciarone.
Paul is survived by his longtime partner, Shaun Featherstone of Milford, Massachusetts; his sister, Marcia Blanchard, and her husband, James, of Franklin, Massachusetts; their children, his niece Carly and nephew Jamie, also of Franklin; his brother, Gary Mucciarone, and his wife, Allyson Simon, of Falmouth, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his devoted friend, Andy Curll of Quincy, Massachusetts, along with countless cousins, friends, colleagues, and extended family members.
Although Paul lived in Boston for many years, his heart was always in Plymouth, where he found peace at home overlooking the bay. He enjoyed living by the water and loved to kayak, first learning on Dorchester Bay and the Charles River before spending time exploring the ponds and coastline of Plymouth. One of his greatest pleasures was taking his Mustang along Route 3A up to Boston, enjoying the freedom of the open drive. While his work and travels took him to many places throughout his life, Paul’s greatest joy was much simpler: sharing time with family and friends, enjoying a good cocktail, and unwinding at the end of the day with the people he loved most.
Known to many as “Muchy,” a nickname he shared with his father, Paul was also affectionately known as “Paulie” by his extended family. He was known for his warmth, humor, loyalty, and generosity, and he leaves behind countless cherished memories.
Paul dedicated more than 35 years to the gas detection industry. At the time of his passing, he served as Vice President of Manufacturing at United Electric Controls in Watertown, Massachusetts, where he was respected not only for his leadership and expertise but also for the kindness and friendship he extended to those around him.
A well-respected professional, a loyal friend, and a devoted partner and family member, Paul will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Saturday June 13th, in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, from 10:00-11:30AM.
A graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org which provides free care and support for children experiencing cancer and other childhood disease as well as support for their families.
