IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Noel Tae
Sun Sergei
August 30, 2024
Noel Tae Sun Sergei of Braintree, MA died very unexpectedly on Friday August 30. She courageously dealt with a lifelong medical condition on her terms, outliving all expectations by many years. She was 43 years old. Noel was the daughter of Michael E. Sergei of Gainesville, FL and the late Linda J. Sergei.
Noel loved a good mystery, enjoyed writing dramatic fiction, and was a comic book aficionado, amassing an impressive collection over time. Noel enjoyed going to Broadway shows, especially in New York, and one of her favorite singers was Garth Brooks. She had such fun times at his concerts.
Noel was born January 6, 1981, in Seoul, Korea. She began her life in the United States in Franklin, MA when she was adopted by Linda and Michael Sergei as a baby. As Noel was going through school her family moved to Cumberland, RI, where Noel's faith in Jesus took root, and later to Plainfield, CT where she was baptized and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was very bright, graduating sixth in her high school class, and loved her friends and family deeply.
Noel began her working career after attending Regis College. She excelled at a series of service and Executive Assistant positions, most recently at Santander Bank where her organizational skills and friendly, service-oriented manner made her a cherished member of their team.
In addition to her father, Noel is survived by grandparents James and Marguerite Mitchell of Milford, MA; aunt and Godmother Kim Ausmus and her husband Daniel of Oxford, MA; aunt Jane Mitchell Huston and her husband Stephen of Franklin, MA; uncle Richard Sergei and his wife Maureen of Foxboro, MA; aunt Kathleen Dunn and her husband Arthur of Plymouth, MA, as well as many cousins and relatives who will miss her bright smile and gentle manner so very much.
Burial services will be private, under the direction of the Charles F. Oteri and Son, Franklin Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Noel's memory to Brigham and Women's Hospital or Massachusetts General Hospital, both of which expertly cared for Noel for many years.
