Obituary

Nicholas R. Longobardi of Franklin passed away peacefully on June 28, 2022 at Cedarwood Gardens Nursing Home in Franklin after a long illness.

He was born April 1, 1949 in Milford MA. Son of the late Nicholas R Longobardi and the late Mary (Luciano) Longobardi, he was a life long resident of Franklin and attended Franklin schools.

He is survived by 3 sons, James Longobardi of NH, Paul Steel and his wife Jody of Franklin and Nicholas Steel and his wife Lynn of Mendon, his brother Robert Longobardi and his wife Kathy of Cumberland RI and his sister Mary Gifford of Franklin.

He was predeceased by his brother Domenic Longobardi and his wife Judy and brother-in-law Charlie Gifford.

He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was a carpenter for many years and loved all sports, going to the casino and playing cards. He was a true friend and was always available when someone needed a helping hand or a hand to hold.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin on Saturday July 16, 2022 at 11AM with interment to follow at St Mary's Cemetery, Beaver Street, Franklin.
