Obituary

Mary G. (Jacobs) Beane 92, of Franklin, died Saturday Jan. 22, 2011 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Henri C. Beane, former Franklin High School principal, who died in 1983.
Born in Boston, March 27, 1918 a daughter of the late Francis J. and Annie G. (Calligan) Jacobs, she was educated in Boston, and was a 1936 graduate of Notre Dame Academy. She also was a graduate of the former Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.
Mrs. Beane was involved for many years with the Town of Franklin swimming program, and worked as a secretary for many years, for the Town of Franklin.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church, and was a former member of the Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of Veridames at Providence College.
She is survived by 2 sons; Jeffrey J. of Southborough, Christopher H. of Elbridge, New York and a daughter Lenore L. Danesco of Foxboro, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Charles, Frank, Walter, and Ralph Jacobs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday February 3rd, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
