Obituary

Mary Helene (Jenison) Ellsworth, 88, a long-time resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully at Medway Country Manor in Medway on May 25, 2021.

Born in Providence, RI on January 14, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Harold L. Jenison Sr. and Ester H. (Soderback) Jenison. Raised in North Providence, she spent summers in South Kingstown, RI and on Prudence Island. She was predeceased by her brother Harold L. Jenison Jr. of North Providence, her brother Richard B. Jenison of Cranston, RI, and her sister Ruth J. Leach of Smithfield, RI.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Karen R. Ellsworth of South Kingstown, Pamela M. Ellsworth and her husband Roy Johnson of Danbury, CT, and Linda L. Ellsworth and her husband Jonathan Kassak of New York, NY; and two grandsons, David Tyler Mattiace of Mexico City, Mexico and Drew Mattiace of New York, NY.

Mary was employed by the Foxboro Co. for many years. In retirement she enjoyed activities at the Franklin Senior Center and always found pleasure in being surrounded by nature. She was a loving and devoted mother and will be very much missed by her family.

A graveside service will take place in accordance with family wishes. Burial will be in the Jenison family plot at Pocasset Cemetery in Cranston, RI.
