Obituary

Mark A. Armstrong 41, of Mendon died upon arrival at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, early Friday morning, July 25, 2008. He was the husband of Shelly A. (King) Armstrong for 17 years.
Born in Milford in 1967, he was a son of Carol I. (Armitage) Armstrong of Franklin and the late Richard F. Armstrong Sr., and had lived in Bellingham for many years before moving to Mendon 11 years ago.
He was raised and educated in Bellingham and was a 1985 graduate of Bellingham High School.
He was employed as assistant general manager for the General Growth Properties Co. in Providence, R.I.
He was a member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, and in his younger years, played semi-pro football with the Worcester Tigers. He was also a member of the Eastern Poker League and was a former member of the Franklin Country Club. He was an active communicant of St. Michael's Church in Mendon.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Zachary A. Armstrong and Madison M. Armstrong, at home; his brother, Richard F. Armstrong Jr. of Mendon; two sisters, Dianne L. Soulnier of Pennsylvania, and Kim L. Jordan of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday, July 28, at 8:15 a.m., from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin (www.franklinfuneral.com), with a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin, at 9 a.m.

Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours are Sunday July 27, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
The Franklin Lodge of Elks will perform a Lodge of Sorrows Service at the funeral home on Sunday at 5:45 p.m.
