Obituary

FRANKLIN—Maria F. (Romano) Cardella 86 of Franklin, died Monday February 14, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the wife of the late Gerald F. Cardella who died in 2006.
Born in New York City April 5, 1924 a daughter of the late Joseph and Flavia Romano she had been a longtime resident of Manhattan before coming to Franklin in 2009.
She was raised and educated in New York and was a retired homemaker. Her interests included game shows, crossword puzzles, sewing and spending time with her family, especially around the dinner table.
Mrs. Cardella is survived by her son, Joseph J. Cardella of Oceanside, California, a daughter Nella Hogarth of Franklin, also surviving are her grandchildren Kristin Raimer of Franklin & Shawn Hogarth of Milford, 2 great grandchildren Joshua & Jaime Raimer and a sister in law Frances Ciotta of Manhattan.
She was predeceased by 4 sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday February 17th, at 12noon in St. Joseph Church 1 Monroe St. New York, NY 10002.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York.
