Obituary

In loving memory,

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mahire Ishka, born on September 10, 1950 in Shkoder, Albania. She passed away on November 16, 2025 at home in Bellingham, MA.

Mahire is the wife of the late Bahri Ishka who she was married to for 30 years. She is survived by her beautiful and loving children Ela Ishka, Elion Ishka, Roena Hebert and her spouse Adam Hebert, her devoted brother Xhelal Hebovija and sister Minire Hebovija, her amazing granddaughters Caitlyn, Alexa and Giuliana (Gigi) Hebert, and her beloved grandson Barion Ishka.

Mahire, was referred to as "Nena" by her grandchildren and often the same nickname was used by family and friends. She had a special gift for cooking and baking. This was not only her profession back in the day but something that she loved to do daily. She also loved to garden, travel, spend time with her grandchildren, go to the beach, and so much more. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

Mahire was kind, loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will be remembered with deep love, gratitude, and honor by all who knew her.

We love you mom and will forever miss you. Thank you for all you have given and taught us.

Burial will be at 12 PM Friday November 21st, 2025, at Scott Cemetery, Bellingham.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Dana Farber in Milford, MA.
