Linda J. Austin

Linda Jane (Olson) Austin 88, of Woonsocket, RI, and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation Healthcare Center in North Providence, RI on Wednesday June 3, 2026. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Austin.

Born November 25, 1937 in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Wendell Oscar and Margaret N. (Manzo) Olson.

Linda worked as a nurse for many years. She attended Lasell Junior College in Aubundale, Ma and earned her nursing degrees. Linda enjoyed working as a nurse and helping people.

She also enjoyed playing bingo, traveling with family and was an avid card player. She watched the Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Boston Red Sox. She really loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her brothers,Stephen L. Olson and Ralph D. Olson.

Linda has 5 deceased brothers, Samuel Olson, Arlen Olson, Perry Olson, Warren Olson, Gary Olson and a deceased grandson, Daniel Austin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Friday June 12th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 9:30-11AM.

Her funeral service will take place at 11AM.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
