Obituary

Levi J. Piere 89, of Franklin, died peacefully, with his family at his side, Monday March 12, 2012 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Harrington House in Walpole, following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Violet M. (Hastings) Piere.
Born January 21, 1923 in Franklin, a son of the late William and Myra (Salisbury) Piere, he had lived in Franklin for most of his life.
He was educated in local schools, and until his retirement several years ago, he worked as a driller for Thompson Press Company.
He enjoyed watching football, baseball, and playing horseshoes, and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, he is survived by a son, Lee J. Piere of Franklin, and was the father of the late Sandra Barnes. He is also survived by his grandchildren.
His graveside funeral service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin will be held privately.
