Katie L. Potrzuski-Colace

Katie L. Potrzuski-Colace, 47, of Attleboro and formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday September 3, 2026, following a long illness.

She was the beloved wife of Edward A. Colace, with whom she shared 15 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was marked by love, companionship and the many memories they created side by side. 

Katie was an exceptional softball player and an enthusiastic skier.  Some of her happiest memories, however, were made in St. Martin with Eddie, where they enjoyed their time together in a place that held special meaning for them. She had an enormous heart for animals and formed a unique bond with each of her cherished dogs.  She leaves behind her beloved dog, Jake, whose presence brought her comfort and companionship.  Her family finds comfort in knowing that Cooper and Rocco were there to give her a warm and loving welcome. 

Katie is survived by her loving mother, Karen Coffey, and her siblings, Shawn Brady and his wife Jennifer, Mike Potrzuski and his wife Jillian and Mark Carcione. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her quiet strength, her love of life, and the happiness she brought to the people and animals fortunate enough to know her.  

Katie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the love she shared, the moments she made meaningful, and the lasting impression she left on all whose lives she touched.  

Relatives and friends are invited  to attend her funeral FRIDAY SEPT. 11th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10AM.

Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are THURSDAY SEPT. 10th, from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
