Obituary

Joseph A. "Joe" Husak 73, of Franklin, passed away suddenly, at his home, Tuesday November 21, 2023.

Joe was born in Germany to Antoni and Maria (Pozniak) Husak, on June 6,1950. Raised in Dorchester, he graduated from English High in Boston, Massachusetts. Thereafter, he spent his years as a dedicated worker with Star Market and Shaws for over 50 years in different locations throughout New England.

Joe enjoyed spending his time with his wife and family, cooking, sports, and gardening.

He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Laura J. (Stearns) Husak, and is survived by his wife, his son Ryan N. Rice and his wife Amanda and their daughter Kinsley Rice of Frisco, Texas; and his son Jack A.Husak of Frisco, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Irene Cavallini and her husband Federico, of Brockton, Massachusetts, brother John Husak and his late wife Shirley, of Brockton, Massachusetts, and sister Joan Ciesluk and her husband Miroslaw, of Taunton, Massachusetts. Along with his wife Laura, children, brother and sisters, he is survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, other family members and his beloved dog Max.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Saturday December 2nd, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 1-3PM.

His funeral service and interment will be held privately.
