Obituary

John W. Ritter 74 of Franklin, died peacefully Tuesday August 16, 2011 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Randall) Ritter, who died in 1994.
Born in White Shore, North Carolina, Sept. 8, 1936 a son of the late John D. and Nellie (Bennett) Ritter, he formerly lived in Champaign, Illinois, before moving to Franklin in 2002.
Mr. Ritter was a retired DPW worker for the city of Champaign.
He is survived by his sister Hazel L. Davis of Bellingham. He was also the brother of the late Elvin F. Ritter and Lethia Chandler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday at 10AM in the Owens Funeral Home 101 N. Elm St. Champaign, Ill. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
