John P. "Jack" Nasuti

John P. “Jack” Nasuti, 85, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, as a result of heart failure.

Born on August 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Scaccia) Nasuti.

Jack was the beloved husband of the late Virginia L. Nasuti, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage before her passing in 2016. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather, family was the center of his life. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy through his 96 direct descendants, including his 10 children, 51 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, William J. Nasuti and his wife, Cassandra, of Plymouth and Peter J. Nasuti and his wife, Kathleen, of Blackstone; and his daughters, Janine M. Gonya and her husband, John, of Blackstone; Debi L. DiColella and her husband, John, of Mendon; Michelle E. Newman of Franklin; Marie E. VanSaun and her husband, Richard, of Falmouth; Catherine A. Centrella and her husband, Paolo, of Acton; Theresa R. Daigle and her husband, Thomas, of North Carolina; Elizabeth S. Zych and her husband, John, of Arkansas; and Gina M. Nasuti of Plainville. He also leaves behind his former sons-in-law, Robert Newman of Franklin and Thomas Dattolie of North Attleboro.

Jack is also survived by his brother, Robert Nasuti and his wife, Marilyn, of Marlborough, and his sister, Barbara Rondeau of Franklin. He was predeceased by his siblings, Delia DeMase, Ralph Nasuti, William Nasuti, Joseph Nasuti, and Ronald Nasuti.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing two years of active duty followed by four years in the Army Reserve, retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then dedicated his career to the Massachusetts State Police, retiring as a Detective in 1990 after years of distinguished service. During his time with the State Police, he also served as a respected polygraph examiner and continued that work after retirement. He was known for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice and public service.

Beyond his career, Jack’s greatest joy was his family. He shared a lifelong love of music and had a gift for bringing people together. Whether playing his accordion or filling the room with music from his beloved jukebox, he created countless memories and joyful gatherings that his family will cherish forever. A devout Catholic, Jack faithfully lived his beliefs and spent many years singing in his church choir, where his love of music and devotion to his faith came together in service to his parish.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin. To view the Mass stmarysfranklin.org 

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 3, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Jack will be laid to rest on what would have been his 86th birthday - a fitting tribute to a life well lived.
