Obituary

Jason Scott Rakitin, 41, of Franklin and formerly of Upton, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Nicole (LaBreck) Rakitin.

Born in Hartford, CT on November 13, 1975, he was the son of Steven Roy and Eileen Marcia (Lazarus) Rakitin. Jason was a graduate of Nipmuc High School in Upton and then received his Bachelor's Degree at UMASS Amherst. He was employed by LogMeIn, Boston as a Senior Customer Success Manager.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two daughters, Amelia and Eden Rakitin of Franklin; and his sister, Sarah Cole of Medford, MA.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 29 from 5-8 PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. Franklin. A private burial will take place in Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.

In Lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Jason Rakitin to support sarcoma research.
