Obituary

Helmut P. Schroeder 93, of Franklin, died Wednesday September 3, 2008 at his residence, following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Irma E. (Kaiser) Schroeder who died in 1984.
Born in Hitzdorf, Germany October 1, 1914 a son of the late Hermann and Elizabeth (Krueger) Schroeder, he formerly lived in Elkhart, Indiana until moving to Franklin in 1995.
Mr. Schroeder was a retired dairy farmer.
He is survived by two sons Hartmut Schroeder and his wife Catherine of Franklin with whom he lived, Friedhelm Schroeder and his wife Ann of College Station, Texas, four grandchildren Gottfried, Amy, Bertholt and Hilary Schroeder.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday September 6, 2008 at 11AM at the Lutheran Church of the Way, 110 Robinson St., Raynham, MA 02767. Interment will take place on Monday at 11 AM in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, IN.
Calling hours at the Lutheran Church of the Way are Saturday morning from 9:30 ~ 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory sent to the Memorial Fund at the above named church would be appreciated.
