H. Murray Malcolm 84, of Blackstone, and a former longtime resident of Franklin, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 6, 2011. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Burns) Malcolm who died in July 2010.
Born in Newton, September 15, 1926 a son of the late Henry M. and Gladys E. (MacComisky) Malcolm, he was raised and educated in Newton, and until retiring, worked for more than 36 years as a service technician for the Waltham Chemical Company.
He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Franklin Lodge of Elks #2136 and enjoyed golf and Cape Cod.
He is survived by a son, Robert M. Malcolm of Woonsocket, a daughter Donna L. Stevens and her husband Buddy of Blackstone, 2 brothers; David Malcolm of Sandwich, Neil Malcolm of Dennis, 2 sisters; Joyce Plamondon of New Hampshire, & Julie Avery of Dennis, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was also the brother of the late Richard & William Malcolm, and Diane Panzera.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday April 9th, at 10AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com.
Interment will follow in the family lot in Newton Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday from 4-8PM. The Franklin Lodge of Elks will conduct a Lodge of Sorrows service at the funeral home on Friday at 5:00PM.
