H. Ernie Bookbinder

Ernie Bookbinder, 81, of Franklin and originally from Rhode Island, passed away after a long illness surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, September 26,2026. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Bulyga/Grant) Bookbinder with whom he shared 34 years of wonderful marriage.

He leaves behind loving nieces and nephews, Todd and Lisa Brown, Jason and Ashley Soares, Tyler Brown, Alyssa Brown and Amelia Brown. He is predeceased by his sister Corinne (Bookbinder) Soares, and nephew Mark Brown. Ernie’s family extends to the North Shore and lovingly includes his sister-in-law and brother-in law Sylvia Gioulis and Steve Bulyga, and additional nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernie’s humor, warmth and kind spirit will be greatly missed by his family and wonderful friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a wake on Friday, October 2nd from 4-7pm at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin.
