Obituary

Grace J. (Candela) Jones 90, of Franklin, died peacefully, Thursday May 23, 2019 at Norwood Hospital following an illness.

Born March 27, 1929, in Norfolk, a daughter of the late Rotilio and Orsola (Rainone) Candela, she was a former resident of Norfolk, before moving to Franklin many years ago.

She was raised in Norfolk and was a graduate of Walpole High School. She worked for the former Thompson Press in Franklin, the Norfolk County Courthouse in Dedham, but her most rewarding job was a cafeteria worker at the Franklin High School.

Grace was a devoted mother to her children, who will miss her dearly, and enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun Casino's, watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and MSNBC.

She is survived by her children, Susan M. Jones, Robert F. "Bobby" Jones and Timothy G. "Tim" Jones all of Franklin, and her cherished granddaughter's, Molly Brown, Sara Jones and Grace Jones all of Franklin.

Also surviving are her siblings, Frank Candela of Mansfield, Louis Candela of Norfolk, Pauline Valente of Wrentham, Rose White of Norfolk, Ann Colello of Millis, Josephine Cisternelli of Wrentham and many nieces & nephews.

She was the sister of the late Ralph A. Candela and Julius Candela.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Wednesday in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. at 11AM.

Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin will be held privately.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8PM.
