Obituary

Gloria L. Fontaine 90, a lifelong Franklin resident, died peacefully, at home on Sunday June 18, 2017 following an illness.

Born in Franklin, February 19, 1927 a daughter of the late Matthew & Mary (Vendetti) Fontaine, she was raised and educated in her hometown.

For many years, and until her retirement Gloria worked as an assembler for the General Electric Company.

Gloria loved to cook, especially, Italian dishes, her specialty were raviolis. She also enjoyed bingo, and trips to Foxwoods.

She is survived by a nephew, Matthew B. Fontaine and his wife Cheryl of Franklin, a niece Donna Gavel of Franklin, and her sister-in-law Joan Fontaine of Franklin.

She is the sister of the late, Matthew Fontaine, Michael Fontaine, Eleanor Fontaine and Pauline Olson. She is also the aunt of the late Bruce Fontaine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday June 21st, at 10AM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Mary's Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held from 9-10AM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
