Obituary

Gary Wilson, 86, of Franklin passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1st, 2021 at Genesis Health Care in Milford.

Born in Boston, he was the son of Violet Hyson.

After graduation from Chelmsford High School he enlisted in the Navy and served as a radar operator on U.S.S. Northampton at the tail end of the Korean War.

He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelors degree in hotel and restaurant management and went on to work for the town of Brookline as the school food sevice director until his retirement.

He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved to travel in his later years.

He is survived by his daughter Emily Abt and her husband Brian of Newburyport, his sons Stephen Wilson of Ashland, Christopher Wilson of Franklin and three grandchildren Joseph Abt, Samuel Abt and Evan Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to Covid.
