Obituary

Mrs. Frances A. (Schussler) Bird, 84 of Franklin, died Thursday Aug. 27, 2009 at the Westborough Health Center, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Myron J. "Mike" Bird, who died in 2008.

Born in New York, New York, April 20, 1925 a daughter of the late Charles E. and Anna F. (Quandt) Schussler, she lived in Franklin since 1990.

She was raised and educated in New York where she lived for almost all of her life, and was a retired homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army, and a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens. She is survived by her. son Kenneth C. Griffin and his wife Marilyn of Franklin, 2 grandchildren: Kyle & Ian Griffin and 2 great grandchildren: Ashley & Logan Griffin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Tuesday at 12 noon at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 PM.
A visitation period will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM to 12 noon.
