Obituary

Eric M. Petro 29, of Medford, passed away unexpectedly Monday July 29, 2024.

Born October 20, 1994, in Norwood a son of Robert J. "Bob" Petro and Phyllis J. (Alger) Petro, he was a former longtime resident of North Attleboro.

Eric was raised and educated in North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School Class of 2013. He then continued his eduation at Wentworth Institute of Technology, receiving his Master's Degree in Architecture in 2019.

He enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, art, nature walks, and spending time with his beloved, rescued cat, "Mimi".

In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Kristen J. Boynton and her husband Richard and Rebecca L. Rastogi and her husband Aseem, his grandmother, Charlotte T. (Walker) Alger, his grandfather Michael Petro, nieces, Kaylyn, Alexa and nephews, Dylan and Ryan.

He is the grandson of the late Harold H. Alger and Patricia Ann (Valicenti) Petro.  Eric also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.

His loss to his family is unimaginable and he will be greatly missed.

Donations can be made in the memory of Eric to the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARLBoston.org).  Eric cared deeply about animals and was a pet parent himself.
