Elizabeth A. (Maker) Ribero-Melin 92, of Franklin, died peacefully Friday June 30, 2017 at Countryside Health Care of Milford, following an illness. She was the wife of the late Edwin F. Ribero, Jr. and Henry R. Melin.

Born March 26, 1925 in Natick, a daughter of the late William L. and Mary (Wall) Maker, she was a longtime Franklin resident.

She was raised in Dover, graduating from Dover High School and a Boston secretarial school. Later she received her paralegal certificate. Betty worked for various legal firms in Boston and locally for many years.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her ever growing family and knitting special items for them. She loved to play the piano and sing. She was a choir director and organist at the Methodist Church. She sang in the church choir for many years.

She is survived by her children, Christine F. Concannon and her husband Joseph of Norfolk, Cynthia A. Rayner and her husband Charles of Walpole, Edwin F. Ribero III of California and Caryn L. Gomes and her husband Mark of Mendon, a sister Marge Michel of Natick, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thursday July 6th, at 11AM in the Franklin United Methodist Church 82 West Central Street. Interment will follow at Union Street Cemetery.

Calling hours are Wednesday at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4-7PM.

Donations in her memory may be sent to the Franklin United Methodist Church.
