Elizabeth R. "Liz" (Roy) Davis 65, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home Saturday March 25, 2017 with her beloved husband at her side, following a long illness. She was the wife of Royal T. Davis, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born July 20, 1951 in West Orange, New Jersey a daughter of the late Donn H. and Betty (Wade) Roy, she was a resident of Franklin for over 36 years and previously resided in Natick, Framingham and Millis.
Liz was raised and educated in Natick and graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School in Wellesley. She also attended Northeastern University and received her degree from Colby-Sawyer College. For many years Liz worked as a finance manager for Children's Hospital Radiology in Boston and was the former owner of the Book Peddler shop in downtown Franklin.
Liz proudest accomplishments were her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed arts & crafts, photography, music, trips to the Bahamas, Foxwoods, her dogs and the New England Patriots.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Marion D. Lunn and her husband Christopher of Clinton and Megan T. Davis and her husband Scott C. Slade of Clinton, & 2 sisters, Jamie Loynd of North Kingstown, RI, Donna Hathaway of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren who called her "Izzie", Jack Royal Lewis, Davis Christopher Lunn and Will Summit Slade. She also leaves many nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Monday April 3rd, at 10:30 AM in St. Paul's Episcopal Church 39 East Central St. Natick, MA 01760.
Her interment will be held privately.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
