Obituary

FRANKLIN—Eleanor J. Fontaine 88, of Franklin, died Friday March 9, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness.
Born June 17, 1923 in Franklin, a daughter of the late Matthew J. Fontaine, Sr. and Mary R. (Vendetti) Fontaine, she was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She was raised and educated in Franklin, and until her retirement several years ago, she worked as a sales clerk for the Franklin Mill Store.
She enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, watching the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots, and animals especially dogs.
Eleanor is survived by 2 sisters; Gloria L. Fontaine and Pauline P. Olson and her husband Kenneth, a sister in law Joan (Langston) Fontaine all of Franklin.
She was the sister of the late Matthew J. Fontaine, Jr. and Michael Fontaine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday March 12th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com., with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday March 11th, from 4-8PM.
