FRANKLIN—Edwin D. "Dean" Pineo 74, of Franklin, died Saturday March 6, 2010 at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, following a illness. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Wells) Pineo.
Born in Boston, May 9, 1935, a son of the late George D. & Elise P. (Dunphy) Pineo, he had lived in Millis for many years before moving to Franklin over 35 years ago.
Mr. Pineo was educated in Millis, and worked as an automotive salesman at many dealerships in the area until his retirement.
He enjoyed working on and driving his collection of antique automobiles, fishing, and working around his house.
Mr. Pineo was a member of the Red Devil's Car Club, and the Franklin Rod & Gun Club.
He also served in the United States Army.
He is survived by three sons; Vernon D. Pineo of Woonsocket, Sheldon D. Pineo and his wife Tina of Florida, and Scott A. Pineo and his wife Denise of Douglas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday March 9th, from 5-7PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com).
Funeral services and interment will be private.
