Obituary

Edna Bernardo, 65, of Tolland, CT, and Franklin, MA, passed away on October 24 surrounded by her family.

Born in Cambridge, MA, Edna lived in Franklin, MA for 28 years and spent her later years in Connecticut.

She is survived by her husband William, son Bill, his wife Marché and their two daughters, and her daughter Sara.

Edna is also survived by her three brothers, Helder, Ercilio, and Armenio.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Auxencio and Sadie, as well as her brother Oldemiero and sisters Mary and Geraldine.

Edna was a force of nature. She made friends wherever she went, and had a sense of humor that brightened the room.

Edna will be remembered and missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday Oct. 28th at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square at 10AM.

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Friday from 5-8PM.

She asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Franklin Food Pantry 43 West Central St. Franklin, MA 02038.

For her services, she's also requested that bright, colorful clothing be worn.
