Obituary

Doris E. Connolly 96, of Franklin died Wednesday December 13, 2006 at her home, following a long illness.
Born in Medway, September 16, 1910 a daughter of the late Michael and Ella F. (Newell) Connolly, she lived in Medway for most of her life until moving to Franklin. She was educated in Medway schools, and was also a graduate of the former Framingham School of Nursing, class of 1930.
Miss Connolly was a retired registered nurse. She worked at Milford Hospital, Medfield State Hospital, and Wrentham State School and was a private nurse for many area families in private homes.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons, and enjoyed the outdoors.
She is survived by her caregiver and longtime friend Carmel Sherry and her family of Franklin.
She was the sister of the late Leo, Charles, Albert and Robert Connolly, Helen Connolly RN, and Marianne Connolly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday December 15, 2006 at 1:00PM with a graveside service at the Newell family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Barber St. Medway. Rev. Ted Kofetese, associate pastor of St. Mary's Church in Franklin will officiate.
