Obituary

Donald C. Laliberte 81, of Franklin, died Tuesday March 1, 2011 at the Maples Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, following a long illness. He was the husband of Jeanne L. (Richards) Laliberte.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, January 10, 1930 a son of the late Joseph and Leona (Dyke) Laliberte, he was educated in local schools, and was a retired self employed carpenter.
Mr. Laliberte also worked for more than 20 years at Dean College as the head of the maintenance department. He served the Town of Franklin as a member of the Board of Appeals for 16 years, he was a 50 year member of the Plainville Beagle Club, a former corporator of the former Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank, was a Mayflower descendant, and sang with the Franklin Barbershopers.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years are his son David A. Laliberte of Franklin, 2 daughters; Pamela J. Smith of Rutland, MA, and Diane L. Wicknick of Franklin, 3 brothers; Wallace of Louisiana, Leslie "Cookie" of NH, Eugene Laliberte of Lincoln, RI, a sister Barbara Bartolomei of Brewster, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Philip & Roland Laliberte, Joyce Mucciarone, Gloria Martineau, and Doris Swahn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with visitation beginning at 8:30AM on Friday March 4th, from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq at 11AM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
