Obituary

Denise Jeanette (Dion) Lavasseur 67, of Plainville, died peacefully, in her home, Sunday March 22, 2020 surrounded by loved one's, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Lavasseur.

Born May 16, 1952, in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Marcel and Diane (Provencher) Dion, she was a former longtime resident of Franklin until moving to Plainville.

She was raised and educated in Norton and worked as an aide for the former Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation and the Pond Home of Wrentham.

Denise enjoyed the simple thing in life and was devoted to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Richard Lavasseur, Jr. and his wife Janet, Robert Lavasseur, Randy Lavasseur and his wife Amanda, Ryan Lavasseur, Wendy Maraggio and her husband John, a brother Norman Dion, sister's Marguerite Keene, and Carol Frietas.

She was the sister of the late Donald Dion, Beatrice Miller and Gertrude Vacher.

Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Paige, Richard, Elise, Lauren Lavasseur, John & Joseph Maraggio.

A Celebration of Denise's Life will be held at a later date.
