Obituary

Denis P. Doolan 74, of Abington, and a former longtime resident of Brockton, died peacefully Sunday September 29, 2024 at Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of late Sandra L. (Piccinni) Doolan.

Born in Boston, September 10, 1950 a son of the late John H. Doolan and Isabel M. (Riordan) Doolan, he was raised and educated in Brookline and was a 1968 graduate of Brookline High School.

For more than 20 years, Denis worked for the Brookline Highway Department, he then went onto work in the Deli Department at Stop & Shop in Holbrook.

Survived by his loving daughters Lisa M. Doolan of Marshfield and Elisabeth Doolan and her fiancé Derek Aleckna of Abington, and a sister, Donna M. (Doolan) Oteri of Franklin. Also surviving are 3 granddaughters Brittani, Myah, Nevaeh, and a great granddaughter Audriana.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours at the Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Abington, MA 02351 on Saturday October 5th from 2-5PM.

Private committal services will take place later at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Pat Roche Hospice Home 86 Turkey Hill Ln, Hingham, MA 02043 would be appreciated.

Arrangements are under the care of the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin.
