Obituary

Claire F. (McLeod) Pond 73, of Franklin, died Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an illness.
Born in Lewiston, Maine July 5, 1937 a daughter of the late Harold E. and Anne J. (Fraser) McLeod she was formerly a longtime resident of Wrentham, before moving to Franklin 10 years ago.
She was raised and educated in Westwood where, she was a 1955 graduate of Westwood High School, she continued her education, and became a Licensed Practical Nurse; she worked at the Wrentham State School, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston & Caritas Norwood Hospital.
She enjoyed being with her family, genealogy, and was very proud of her Scottish heritage.
She is survived by 4 sons; Howard E. Pond of Woodsville, New Hampshire, Donald G. Pond of Jackman, Maine, Jason M. Pond of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Dennis F. Pond of Woodsville, New Hampshire, 2 daughters; Michelle A. Sabo of Vermont and Katherine A. Pond of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and a sister Elizabeth Southwick of Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Judith McLeod.
Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
