Obituary

Celestina G. (Borghi) Zani 90, of Wellesley, died Saturday December 16, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harry V. Zani, who died in 2008.

Born January 21, 1927, in Parma, Italy, a daughter of the late Luigi and Anna (Fulgoni) Borghi, she was a resident of Wellesley for over 50 years.

She was raised and educated in Italy and came to America in 1960. Celestina was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. Celestina was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wellesley.

She is survived by her children, Harry A. Zani of Wellesley, Susan Z. Higgins and her husband R. Curtis Higgins of Franklin, John R. Zani of Franklin, Tina Z. Martin and her husband Richard, sisters, Ermina Rabboini of Framingham, Paulina Cosolari of Italy and Rita St. Claire of Cape Cod.

Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Chelsey, Kayla, John, Scott and John.

She was the sister of the late Romano, Armando, Ennio Borghi and Maria Borghi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Tuesday December 19th at 10AM in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

There are no calling hours.
