Obituary

Bruce E. Buckland 66, of Franklin, died suddenly, Thursday Dec. 17, 2020 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Deborah J. (Peatfield) Spearin-Buckland, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage.

Born July 9, 1954 in Framingham, a son of the late Forest A. and Joan (Howe) Buckland, he was a resident of Franklin since 1982.

He was raised in Connecticut, and was a graduate of the former Southeastern Massachusetts University, where he received a bachelor's degree in engineering. Bruce worked as a mechanical engineer for the United States Army at Natick Labs.

He treasured spending time with his family, canoeing, snow shoveling and along with his wife traveling throughout Europe.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Eric Lytle Buckland and his wife Jennifer of Oregon, Brittany M. Wright and her husband Nathan of Medway, Garrett C. Spearin and his wife Diana of Franklin, a sister Jill Cavalieri of New Hampshire.

Also surviving are his cherished grandchildren, Chloe Buckland, Bella Buckland, Colton Wright and Avonlea Wright.

He was the brother of the late Karl Buckland.

Due to Covid-19 and the family's concern for others a Celebration of Life will be held in 2021.
