Obituary

MEDWAY—Betsy (Ross) Briggs 84, of Medway, died Friday May 20, 2011 at Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following an illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur Briggs.
Born March 4, 1927 in Malden, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Florence Ross she had been a resident of Attleboro for many years before settling in Franklin and recently Medway.
She was raised and educated in Norton & Attleboro, and until her retirement many years ago, she worked as a self employed hairdresser.
She is survived by a brother in law Alvin Fuller of Cape Cod, and her caregivers James Thornhill, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Franklin.
Mrs. Briggs was the mother of the late Lana Briggs who died in 2001.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside funeral service Saturday June 4th, at 11AM at Common Cemetery, West Main Street, Norton, MA 02766.
Interment will follow.
There are no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory sent to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
