Arthur C. "Sonny" Breed Jr. of Franklin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Friday, December 2.
Born April 16, 1937 in Boston, MA he was the son of the late Arthur C. Breed Sr. and Julia (Schmidt) Breed. He was a long-time resident of Franklin.
He was raised and educated in Franklin. He attended Franklin High and joined the US Navy and served aboard the USS Storm.
He was a member of the Improved Order of Red Men for many years and served as Chief of Records.
Arthur worked for the Town of Franklin School Department as a custodian for over 30 years. In his retirement years he worked as a runner for Franklin Ford and best known for working at Turco and Pisano Store.
Arthur was devoted to his family and friends. He also enjoyed the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, NASCAR and scratch tickets.
Also surviving is his wife Louise (Lozzi) Breed of 62 years, his children LuAnna J. Hanson of Hopedale, Pamela J. Young of Franklin, Diana L. Richards and her husband Geno Richards of Franklin, Arthur J. (Butchie) Breed of Franklin, his brother Arvid (Chip) Breed and his wife JoAnne of Milford.
He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren; Neil Young, Geno Richards, Jr., Lyndsay Hanson, Alex Richards, Jamie Breed, Julia Breed and his great grandchildren; James Young, Leah Young, Maddison Betti & Olivia Betti and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Julia (Breed) Palanzi, Henry Breed and son-in-law Mark (Marty) Young.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering Friday, December 9th at 11:30 at St. Mary Cemetery, Beaver Street, Franklin, MA.
Calling hours are Friday December 9, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, MA.
